Chijioke Mama
A prolific Business Researcher, Analyst and Advisor; Chijioke Mama has authored extensive analytical works on diverse issues in Africa’s hydrocarbon economies. Through “Africa’s Barrel Equation” an Energy Investment | Policy Advisory | Research Platform; featured on major energy media such as BusinessDay Energy West-Africa and SweetCrude Reports, he offers research-based insights and empirical advice on Africa’s energy markets.
Chijioke has published over 30 analytical writings, including the 81-page “An Investor’s Guide to Marginal Oil Fields Acquisition in Nigeria” and the 58-page “ANALYSIS _mini refining investment opportunities in Nigeria.” He is also a contributor for London-based, African Business Magazine.
While advising some institutional & private investors on Africa’s (& Nigeria’s) energy and extractive sector, he was a Keynote Speaker in the maiden African Small and Marginal Oil Field Investment Conference in London (August 2015) where he discussed the needed strategic government support frameworks for marginal oil fields.
His research, publications & advisory engagements spans diverse energy topics such as upstream policies, new Oil & Gas frontiers in East Africa, infrastructure in emerging markets, Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG), Power generation systems and policies in Africa, asset divestments in Africa, gas markets, solid mineral investments, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and others.
His work experiences include project execution for IOCs, namely; Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria & Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He has also led projects in Power & Telecom sectors. Chijioke is multi-lingual (Intermediate Spanish, Basic French and Fluent English) with good consulting & people skills.
He has an MBA (Management) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and currently consults as Project Manager/Research Analyst at Ralmuof Konsult Limited (RKL) in Nigeria.
